Jacob Ollanik

PictureMr. O posing for the day's photo challenge - "Best Imitation" - at the Museum of Natural History in NYC.
Mr. Ollanik has been at UHS since 2017, coming in as a student teacher from NAU. Since joining the faculty, he has taught AP Human Geography and AP US Government, and is also the UHS Student Council Advisor. Favorite highlights of past trips include a laughably bad Broadway show in New York; group dinner in a Japanese ryokan with all 86 travelers dining together; and braving blustery rain to traverse the Giant's Causeway in Ireland. Mr. Ollanik loves to travel to experience new histories and cultures, and to bring that perspective back home to Tucson. His favorite Travel Club destination so far has been The Alhambra palace in Granada, Spain - a personal bucket list item that exceeded expectations.

Austin  Morris

Mr. Morris has been the French teacher at UHS since 2019. He is a veteran traveler, having been to a dozen countries and having lived in France for over 2 years. He is from Lima, Ohio and is a big fan of jazz and Francophone art and literature. His favorite part of traveling is being able to speak with people and get their perspectives on the world that are often much different than our own. He also loves visiting museums and can wander around them for hours/days at a time.
